PZL.23 Karas was a light bomber and a long-range reconnaissance plane. The prototype was flown in Aug. 1934. It became operational in June 1936 and the following B-type later 1936. When Poland was invaded in September 1939, the remaining planes were evacuated in Roumania, where they were a part of the Roumanian Air Force, under German control.
